The first<<<<>>>>The last

And so much in between.

I finished listening to this 3 part radio documentary on Mr Schultz.  I learnt so much about the world beyond and within his cartoon strip and the interplay between. I don't think he was the grumpy melancholic man they say, he was a genius though.

Finding the elusive adjective to describe a cat, elusive perhaps is the the best adjective.
Cats do things behind our backs we never know about, they don't need us to know, they
like it that way. Beyond the Lols, cats entertain our imaginations and have been
the perfect subject for films, stories and perhaps even a little philosophical enquiry.

Here are some very lovely, entertaining and thought provoking (yes) roles cats have played
in film.

* I am yet to watch this, in fact I only just found out about it and it was the reason I started thinking about cats in films. There is more here to be said. And  here you can watch.

Intimacy

I don't think I have ever resolved my love for jewellery and as a ceramicist I think I may be a frustrated jeweller. I have spent some time today looking back at inspiring jewellers and wondering, after time past, why I was drawn to this medium.
The immediate answer is intimacy. Except perhaps clothing I can't think of another creative medium that we are so physically connected to. Maybe more than clothing though jewellery stays with us for a long time and carries our histories and the histories of others, it's all history..history (and Love).

Here's a little selection of pieces/collections made by some jewellers I think are very talented.
